i throught i would bring these up as know one else was realy in detiale so any ideas could you postt here . here is a good idea for part of a races history by Abysse

Abysse :has already set the basic background wich is really great this is what he has done so far :

Story:  The race was visited by a troubled advanced space faring race who gave this tribal/clan race AI which built their ships, body armor, power weapons as well as operated said ships.  These clans were entertainment to the more advanced "providers" and were eventually planned to be used as their slaves in defending against other races they were at war with.  Unfortunately the "providers" were wiped out to the last being but their plaything planet was left untouched.  Now these races have split into 4 distinct clans each with their own sentient AI control system which can build and operate their ships, forge their weapons and armor, and guide them to the stars.  The "providers," however, did not upload the schematics for ballistics into their AI and so these warriors have no knowledge of how to create technology greater than the crusaders did during Earth's medieval age. 

Their middling years have been fraught with war and carnage.  Millions of them have died as a result of clan struggles, but their birth rate is so high and their physical prowess so intense that it's only a paltry amount compared to what they have on the surface.  Their space tactics revolve around what primitive naval battles on earth look like – ramming and boarding.  They have large sections of their ships dedicated for weapons which are used for head on attacks, manned by brave men who are willing to be exposed to the vacuum of space in order to deal the enemy a crushing blow.  Boarding techniques are used with pods which lead to small scale battles within gigantic capital ships. 

Current history suggests that once the wars were settling down some of their race decided diplomacy was a wise notion to pursue.  They met with other alien species around their planetary system in hopes of understanding them better.  Their race still is primitive on their home planet and colonies.  The four AI's do everything for them in terms of technology greater than their own understanding, but it cannot impart this knowledge onto the willing wise men of their day, for it was forbidden by the "providers."  Currently the clans are often seen as mercenaries, pirates, scavengers, entertainment fighters and planetary guides.  Their race is held back by the very technology that was given to them, but their courage cannot be doubted, especially if you've gone toe-to-toe with them, and lived.

TIME BEFORE THE LAKONI EMPIRE

Following information is part of Lakoni studies of space history. Its center is based on Eden II.

YEAR 474 250 BLE – Foundation of current Nox'i society and their rise to power.

YEAR 492 BLE – The Dagnari Conglomeration encounters the Nox.

YEAR 473 BLE – Dagnari Conglomeration and the Nox strike many important trading agreements, marking the golden age of the Dagnari and their evolution in to trading super power that they are.

YEAR 436 BLE – The Finku encounter Lepar who inhabit only two planets in their solar system. The two races very soon form friendly relations.

YEAR 430 BLE – Finku and the Lepar form a federation, furthering their co-operation with one another.

YEAR 386 BLE – Finku and Lepar federation encounters the Orcish Dominion.

YEAR 384 BLE – Orcish Dominion trades at large with the federation, mainly with the Lepar, however they refuse to join the federation as spiecies.

YEAR 344 BLE – Finku encounter the Legion in their search through out the space. Any attempts on negotiations end up in disaster. This marks begining of the war between the two spiecies which is fought to this very day. Arguably, this conflict made it even more vital for the Finku to find new candidates for their Federation.

YEAR 276 BLE – Orcish Dominion encounters Dagnari Conglomeration. Very soon both races see each other as rivals, both having large interest in trade, seeking way how to gain better diplomatic standings with the customers of their newfound rivals. Several skirmishes between the two are reported but never confirmed.

YEAR 243 BLE – Marks the begining of so called "Golden War", with both the Orcish Dominion and Dagnari Conglomeration engaging in the open conflict.

YEAR 121 BLE – Marks the end of "Golden War", however both races remain largely hostile and wage cold war on each other, using blocades as well as hiring mercenaries within their own race as well as among other races to attack ships of rival spiecies.

YEAR 0 – Humans on their home planet unite under leadership of house Lakoni, an Empire is formed. They work together in unison and rename their planet to Eden. It is also decided that from this moment on new calendar will start to mark new start in human history. Following years mark expansion all over their original solar system.

YEAR 673 – Humans conquered bounds of their solar system but have no means to reach beyond it and in to other systems.

YEAR 723 – Humans encounter race now known as Finku and establish first contact, process of linguistic studies begins to further the relations between the two races.

YEAR 729 – Humans are officialy given invitation in to the Federation of Finku and Lepar races. The invitation is accepted less then two standart Edenian months after it was given. This marks rapid revolution in space traveling technologies as well as colonization of other planets, humans of Lakoni Empire expand rapdily beyond borders of their solar system. Through the Federation the Orcish Dominion is introduced to the Empire and the humans happily trade with the Orcs.

YEAR 856 – Some of the colonies, especially those on outter reaches of the Empire show increased revolutionary tendencies and threaten stability of the Empire. For the time being, the Empire officialy maintains soft approach towards the radicals and attempts to reason with them, however their claims are outrageous.

YEAR 858 – Separatist movements escalate in to couple of skirmishes and tension builds up. Support for the movement is noted further through out the Empire, closer to the core worlds and Eden. Both Finku and Lepar distanc themselves from the conflict, refusing to aid the Emperor and the Empire.

YEAR 861 – The separatists form their own leadership on galactic scale as they overthrow the military and governing bodies on most of the colonies. The Emperor is forced to issue swift and resolute campaign in order to reclaim lost ground.

YEAR 876 – Even after the devastating war, the separatists gain more support and start to turn the conflict in their favor.

YEAR 877 – Major battle is fought near Eden it self, Eden, still loyal is attacked and after usage of weapons of mass destruction the planet is inhospitable to human life, turned in to lifeless rock. Memoriam to golden age of humanity. Majority of the royal family manages to escape, they and the loyalists withdraw. At the very end of the year peace is reinstalled and new groups are formed. Loyalists maintain Lakoni Empire in new territories. Separatist worlds near the edge form Union of Therun, with planet Therun being their new home planet. However, many separatists from the core worlds which were ravaged the most in the late stages of the world withdraw, forming colonies in Yanova system, with Yanova III. becoming their home planet. They distance them selves from both the Empire and the Union and pursue simple and peaceful existence.

YEAR 967 – Finku make contact with the Si'the Empire.

YEAR 984 – Si'the Empire becomes part of the Finku and Lepar Federation, filling the space left by humans.

YEAR 1122 – Strange disease rages through the Colonies of Yanova III. Death toll climbs to millions during first months of the outbreak, soon, any acurate notes of the healthy, sick and dead are overwhelmed by amount of data alone.

YEAR 1123 – First reports indicating that the disease has much greater impact then simple death.

YEAR 1124 – It is officialy announced that the result of the disease is creation of new life form. It is named Lamia based upon ancient human myths. A quaranteen is enforced by both the Empire and the Union around the struck region.
